The weekend I was out of action as my bike was being serviced ready for the big off on 23rd ... Honestly am feeling great and very very fit.
The thought of 984 miles and 9 days of riding is daunting!

Just to show that team Kent are still training or at least getting out on the road and spinning the legs. Nothing really of note apart from Muts bike creaking more than my legs.
A quick ascent of the not very alpine Charing Hill and wonderful undulating miles through beautiful Kentish villages.
'Much nicer than Essex' was one of the more famous remarks of Chartham resident Henry Tortoiseshell before he set of on his momentous crossing of the Alps by air balloon in 1875.
The picture shows the wonderful fair that is the cyclists staple 'a tall cappuccino and carrot passion cake - to eat in' Mut went for the more English with an Italian slant 'egg and bacon pannini'
