The loneliness of a long distance cyclist

Being the black sheep of the Kent contingent of the team and not having been invited to the Brighton jaunt I decided to put some lonely hill training in by myself. Our paths would have crossed at some stage as I got as far south as Battle at one stage!!
6 hours....5 x10min stops only ouch...ouch ouch.
As painful as it was it could have been worse, small stack just outside Goudhurst - an amateur rider pulled out on me from his driveway resulting in bent spokes for him and me telling him how beginners should take more care and perhaps he should practice in a car park before venturing on the road.
I forgot to tell him it was my first time out on my new super duper bike too!!!.........Ricardo
